Though I wasn't born in SF, I, too, am a 49er fan, Giants and W's. I've gone
to all three teams' games in all their venues. The most interesting of the
latter was watching the W's at the Cow Palace!
Â
Unfortunately of the three entities involved in teams -- owners, players, and
fans -- only the fans have loyalties. For the owners and players it's a
vehicle either to wealth all out of proportion to true worth (players), ego
(owners and players), and asset appreciation (owners). It's only us fans that
live, breathe, and (figuratively) die with the fortunes of the teams we support.
Â
A number of years ago I had a Sunday all set up to watch an early Niners game
I had been looking forward too for quite some time. The rest of the family was
going to be out of the house. My daughter was visiting from out of town and
she wanted me to go with them. I demurred and said I would catch up with them
in a few hours. She then asked me, "Dad, do the 49ers love you?" I changed
clothes and went with them.
Â
The point is: we love our teams, but there's no reciprocation.

I was born in San Francisco,I am a Niners, Giants and warrior fan.
I root for my team and buy tickets to the games. We need a owner who gets behind
his team. It's not a business its a sports franchise. We need a management team
that knows about the players first. We need to have scounts who can draft
talent. We need coaches that can teach the players. The Niners had that once,
the giants to, the warriors, It was going good when we had the playoff team.
Then Mullin had a deal to keep Baron, that got axed. We had a young player,
Ellis, who hurt himself and the owners wanted his money back. all of my teams
are turning the corner except for the warriors. Sometimes we dream of what can
be. We play in the west divison. We need to do better than the 8th seed. So
Cohan sell the team to Larry Ellison. Lets get rid of Riley and Bring Mullin
Back. Lets fire Nelson and hire Byron Scott or Avery Johnson.
Lets make a trade and get, are you ready. Chris Bosh. He is young, 25 and is a
power forward. We need to make sure we can sign him.
So we trade for Bosh and Patrick O'Bryant for AB, Brandon Wright and Speedy
Claxton.
We have enough guards we need big man. I think we drafted O'Bryant and never
developed him.
1-Curry, Bell, Watson
2- Ellis, Morrow
3- Corey, "Buke"
4- Bosh, Turiaff
5- Randolph, O'Bryant, Moore

As a lifelong die hard warrior fan, I have been loyal even with such
debacles as the infamous JB Carroll for McHail $ Parrish deal, or the Webber
Nelly feud, or the Spreewell choking incident. But now is officially the
worse time I have ever experienced with this franchise. A coach who
obviously needs to go away, a former captain traded after being given a
contract that was way better then he deserved. Our best player moaning and
groaning, frowning and pouting, after the moped incident. Our future star
power forward being treated so badly that he looks like he is about to cry
half the time. No teamwork. No defense. No hope for the season. No hope for
the future. I wish we could just eliminate everyone involved and start fresh
with a brand new team. New owner. New coaches. new players. new uniforms (
well maybe the uniforms can stay; they are one of the better ones in the
NBA. It isn't even December yet, and this season is history. Is the future
any better. Nope. That is why I no longer have season tickets. Soon, others
will follow. Give me 1 reason to go to a Warrior game! Just one!! I have had
it. I am done with these guys. They make me sick.

As long as Nelson is in place very few things are going to happen. Just look
at Bell: as long as he was with the Bobcats he was willing to play thru the
wrist issue. As soon as the deal was finalized he opted for surgery that will
put him out for 4 months. He'd rather do that than deal with Nelson on a
regular basis.Â
Â
Barry Tomkins had an interesting comment the other night on "Chronicle Live"
about the W's. He said that while there's talent on the roster that they play
like 'just a bunch of guys'. No teamwork.Â
Â
Everything on this team as about Nellie. He's not going to leave unless
there's a substantial buyout as he won't leave the money on the table. And
management cannot afford to pay out the balance of his contract and pay what
would be necessary for a new coach. This is going to get even more brutal
before it starts to turn around. Cohan made his deal with the devils and now
he's got to live with it. I cannot even see new ownership as long as Nelson is
the coach.

Ellis, Biedrins, Magette and Claxton for Paul, West and Stojakavic.
Â
Paul might be unhappy and taking Stoja is just an incentive for NO to do it.
Â
Randolph can play C with West on FP.

Sign AI for this season since Paul is hurt  and no Buke for the season. He can

So lets make a deal to improve our team. I also heard that they are only going
to carry 14 contracts. I read that we can fight for the 7 or 8 spot. Lets
win some games before we make the first round, and exit out.

Wouldn't you think Curry can be as good or better if not for SJax(now departed)
and Monta freezing him out? Monta just need to grow up and understand that Curry
can only make him better.

I was pushing for Brandon Jennings as our number one pick. The warriors saw him
up front last night. Man I wanted him bad.
Hey I thought Ellis was going to be the point. That didn't work so we draft
Curry. Who's going to be the best point guard of those three. Well I guess Ellis
goes to the end of the line.

The Golden State Warriors have agreed in principle to send Stephen
Jackson(notes) to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for Raja Bell(notes) and
Vladimir Radmanovic(notes), NBA sources said Monday morning.
The deal also would send Warriors guard Acie Law(notes) to the Bobcats.
Now we need to package a deal with Corey, Claxton and Wright to get a true
powerfoward.
I was pushing for Brandon Jennings as our number one pick. The warriors saw him
up front last night. Man I wanted him bad.

agree Wiz. might do it as Ar. is no DWade..here are three amendments to your
idea that works better in terms of salaries in the trade:
 Â
Arenas, Jamison, Haywood for Ellis, Jax, Claxton, Beans
Arenas, Jamison, Haywood for Ellis, Jax, Claxton, Beans, D.
George
Arenas, Jamison, Haywood, draft pick for Ellis, Jax, Claxton,
Beans, D. George
Even with a running eam it's a good idea to have a real center and have
Randolph play the 3/4, mostly 4; and have Turiaf play the 4/5. Haywood isn't
great but he is the right age for him to peak his productivity.

Trade:
Arenas, Jamison for Monta, Jax and Claxton.
Why Wiz might do it:
They will save at least 6M next season from Claxton. Their investment got
younger and cheaper too. They will have a backcourt of Monta/Butler and SJax at
SF. Blanche looks good at FP.
Arenas and Jamison returns to the Warriors with a much better support cast this
time. Given the opportunity, Curry can replace Monta's production I think and a
much better passer to boot.

That's the problem. I hope he gets his record and he is gone at season's end.
I don't want Keith Smart to take over, I would go after
1- Eddie Jordon
2- Avery Johnson
3- Mark Jackson

NO might do that if we also gave then Morrow, but West is the real go-to guy for
Paul. Having said that now would be the time for them to trade West and St. is
gettin old but he could work on gs because of his game.

David West, Stojakovic for SJax, Biedrins and Speedy (for salary) would work
too.
Â
NO needs a major makeup and they can move Okafor at FP. Beans would benefit
from Paul just like Chandler was.
Â
Randolph at C and West at FP would be a good match with Buke on SF.

I agree Ray Allen isn't enough. As an avid C's fan I know what he can do and
what he can't - e.g. he is going to have a hell of a time guarding and being
guarded by Kobe this June, and Pierce will have his hands full too with Artest.
my trade idea from 3 months ago...This is what three trades would have gotten
us. The second one with Philly I definately think Philly would have done; the
last w Phoenix I also believe could have happened because Steve Kerr had made
too many concessions to have real bargaining power; the first w Boston all I
know is Ainge would have taken a long look and probably would have asked for a
pick to be added. Anyway, this is what these trades would net, and of course
they then could have attracted free agents, plus the trade deadline, plus
filling out the roster with d-leaguers.
Ellis
Curry
Ray Allen
Azubuike
Bill Walker
Randolph
Amari Stodemire
Samuel Dalembert
could try to trade for Carlos Boozer who still can post
numbers consistently and who the Jazz seem to want to get rid of (he may not
start much this year in Utah). amari can play the 5 as well as 4. Randolph,
although probably a better 4, is athletic enough to be a good 3 and has a hight
adv. we give up allen for Boozer. Azub. and Walker can both play the 2.
Ellis, Curry, and Randolph should not be traded. Period.

No, we need a lot more than Ray Allen.
What the Warriors need is for us loyal, but stupid fans, to start keeping the
Warriors ownership accountable. So, here's a suggestion.
We need to stop supporting this mediocrity (actually, we'd probably gladly
settle for mediocrity because what the Warriors are doing now is simply moronic
incompetence) .
I ask every blue and gold blooded Warriors fan here (and ask your GSW friends
everywhere else) this question:
"Why would the Warriors brass change anything WHEN WE THE FANS CONTINUE TO SHOW
OUR SUPPORT TO W'S OWNERSHIP BY BUYING EVERY SEAT, EVERY SEASON?" They have no
bottomline motivation to change anything!!! They're putting minimal effort and
resources in, but still getting maximum profit out! Why change?
So we need to let them know with our wallets that we are putting our foot down
and no longer willing to subsidize the NBA welfare program currently known as
the GS Warriors...What are we getting for our money anyway? Just wasted time and
broken hearts and nothing to root for by November! So should we just continue to
lay down and take it in the tailpipe from Cohan and his friends?
We all know that the only way greedy CEO types will listen to the consumer is
when dollar signs get involved. So fellow fans, let's involve dollar signs,
because I for one am tired of this same ol' Warriors story.
Note to GSW ownership: Please put a team and management together that we aren't
embarrassed by (notice the painfully low expectations) , and if you do, we'll
support you with our blood (as we've shown over the last 15 years). But for now,
enough is enough. So until then, we should take our hard-earned, recession
strained dollar elsewhere, like into our savings for a tropical vacation, or a
new Harley or a boat, a charity for children-at- risk, a campaign to oust
Cohan...anywhere but into said incompetent owner's coffers who, at the end of
the day don't seem to give a damn about us fans and our hopes for our Warriors,
but they sure don't mind collecting our money.
Fellas and lady Warriors, let's give them a reason to squirm a bit.
Accountability for Warriors ownership is long overdue.

strained dollar elsewhere, like into our savings for a tropical vacation, or a
new Harley or a boat, a charity for children-at- risk, a campaign to oust
Cohan...anywhere but into said incompetent owner's coffers who, at the end of
the day don't seem to give a damn about us fans and our hopes for our Warriors,
but they sure don't mind collecting our money.
Fellas and lady Warriors, let's give them a reason to squirm a bit.
Accountability for Warriors ownership is long overdue.

work they'd have a guard rotation of Ellis and Ray Allen with Curry coming off
the bench - Curry could play point w Allen or 2 w/ Ellis at point. But that
would make too much sense. No let's have another season of mediocrity.

and he's a big piece. And he may be able to hit the big shots like he claims
but in GS he won't be quite so open this year and he shooting pct. won't astound
anyone.

can't play with Stephen Curry. As (presumably) one of the leaders of the team,
is this what you want to see? And what exactly has he done to live up to that
monster contract? Don't get me started on the Stephen Jackson fiasco.
