My vote is for Snowshoe in WV it was worth the trip from Baltimore for me.  Nice condos, and great snow when I was there in Dec.  We had a lot of fun there

Marc, As Bill mentioned below I would contact the DC Gay Ski Group. This group is an informal group similar to SkiBudz that has been around a while.

Wintergreen Resort near Charlottesville reportedly has the best skiing in the area. The resort is very nice, but I've only been there in non-skiing seasons.

Hi Marc, If you can drive 5-6 hours from DC I'd recommend going to Snowshoe Mountain (_http://snowshoemtn.com_ (http://snowshoemtn.com) ), an Intrawest resort

Hey Marc, The pickings are pretty slim near DC. Two hours from DC is Liberty near Gettysburg, PA, and White Tail, also in PA, but they're comparable to Granite
