There are two forms of Polo in that is played in the United Staets: Field Polo and Arena Polo. Field Polo is played on a large grass field that is 300 yards long by 160 yards wide, with four players per team. That's roughly equivalent to six football fields! Arena Polo (which is played at an intercollegiate level) is played in an arena, resembling a hockey rink with a dirt surface. Three players per side attempt to score on undefended goals located at either end of the regulation 300 foot wide by 100 feet long arena.
