malibu,

please reply

I just moved down to Hemet from N. Ca, and I am hoping to find some
kind of gym/wall near here. Does anyone know of one? I'm turning
into an even bigger softie! Please help!

Hello all,
I thought this would be a good group to find people to go
canyoneering with. I do not know if anyone here has done it before,
not very difficult for rock climbers and cavers. If anyone is
interested in doing some please reply or contact me so we can
schedule something. There is plenty of canyons in the LA mtns to
do.
Thanks
Be safe !!
Hey Sweetie, I hope this gets to you. I know
everything is up in the air right now and you only have a
few vacation days, but in May, I will be in New
England the 21st-25th which leads into Memorial Day
weekend. It would be fun if I extended my flight through
the weekend and you met me out there. Or, if that
doesn't work out,I'll be back there again the last week
of June. Just a thought. Also, can you help me with
a list of mountain biking trails in Utah and
Central CA. I want to post them on the AH
website.

I hope you're having a good week and you had a
great weekend.

Love,

T.
For those of you who might have heard rumors about my whereabouts. I am back in
the Army. Currently in South Carolina. I will be on email from now on if anyone
needs to talk to me.
Eric F.
Hello,

My name is Mark and I received this
message recently. I've been searching for a partner for
some time. I too own my own business and can take off
any time. I love Josh and will go anytime. I own much
equipment and am learning to lead. I currently climb at 5.9
but am training hard for a trip to Yosemite in June.
I would love to meet you and do come
climbing.

Mark
If you live or travel to Southern California, I'm
looking for friendly adventurous climbing partners. I've
been checking out local spots after a couple of great
trips to J. Tree, and there's a lot to climb in So.
Cal. Unfortunately, it takes two for a belay
system.

I have enough gear and experience to set up Bomber
anchors, and love to climb :>) Get in touch if you'd
like to climb some weekend. I own
my own business,
so I can take weekdays off when I'm too
busy.

Mike P
jt-frogger
hey everyone...

Since I broke my leg on
labor day hiking out from a climb I have had the
opportunity to go through an injury on an HMO.

When a
doctor gets paid by an HMO for treating an injury, they
get a flat fee for the treatment. As a result it is
in their best interest to not treat you.

It
has been my experience that this is actually the
case, and they will give you the minimum amount of
treatment legally possible.
As a patient it is really
tough to deal with this situation, because you
practically have to be a doctor to refute their method of
treatment.

If you have the opportunity to get out
and switch to a PPO or something, I would highly
suggest it.

Unless you like the idea of having an
injury, and being told to take two aspirin and don't come
back in the morning.

Evan
Hello,

I am planning a 2, 3, or 4 weeek
camping, hiking, wilderness type trip in the Southwest, S
Cal or possibly Baja. I am seeking a guide that is
experienced in these thngs, and able to work hard and teach
at the same time.

I have some wilderness,
camping and climbing skills, as well as mountianeering
skills ( RANIER AND MT. BANC) , but would love to become
truly capable in some of these areas.

My dates
are from late November to the 23rd or 24th December
(am flexible about these, and I realize that I may
not find someone with that much time). But
nonetheless, if there is anyone in your club, or known to you
I would appreciate your passing this information
along.

My email is cloftis@.... My mobile number is
803-429-9791.

Thanks

PS . . . the guide does not have to be a
"professional", just very well quailfied.

I'm going to spend the next weekend at J Tree and
want to find a partner or partners. I've been climbing
5.6 - 5.10 and have little leading experience but
have been trained by the best. I'm comfortable placing
gear and setting top ropes but am getting tired of
just bouldering. Have rope and rack and itching to
push my limits. Hoping to find someone that would be
happy climbing at this level and is willing to have
some fun. I have an insatiable appetite for more
climbing and am anxious to push harder and reach just
above my level. Faliure is an option but safety is not.
I say that thinking failure is a state of mind and
I seldom feel that way. E-mail me with your
interest. Will travel.
Eric,

Ray & I won't be able to attend
Brian's Head...the 8 hr drive is just too far to drive on
Friday since I will be getting off late...

I hope
we get a chance to see you again soon at one of the
rock climbing events.

Donna
