Omulu is a US-based non-profit organization with Capoeira at its heart. Omulu Capoeira groups train in San Francisco, Wisconsin, and Los Angeles. The group's founder is Master ("Mestre")Preguica, who is a graduate of the famous Mestre Bimba, creator of the modern form of capoeira called 'Regional'. Mestre Preguica has studied and taught capoeira for over 30 years in Brazil, Europe, and now in the United States.
Omulu seeks to enrich the lives of underprivileged youth through a community centered on positivity, good health, and a high self-esteem.
