METRO WRESTLING is New York City's accessible, gay-friendly freestyle wrestling club for adults.

Wrestling practices occur twice weekly. Practices are sanctioned by The Amateur Athletic Union. METRO coaches teach a BEGINNERS' CLASS on the first Sunday of every month. The club hosts an annual tournament.

METRO athletes have competed locally and internationally at Gay Games, World Outgames, EuroGames, Northeast Beach Wrestling Championships, International Tournament of Paris, and at tournaments with other affiliated clubs.

Open-minded athletes, regardless of orientation or gender, with interest in amateur wrestling are welcome to visit our practices.

METRO practices in Manhattan every Saturday from 5-7 pm at Fighthouse (122 West 27th Street, 2nd floor)and every Sunday from 2-5 pm at The Gay Community Center (208 West 13th Street Room 412). Cost per practice: $12(Saturday-Fighthouse) or $10 (Sunday-Center)
