I was surfing the net and came across a figure skating prayer chain
at the follwing website:
http://www.fs4christ.com/prayerchainforskaters.html
It started off well, requesting prayers for skaters suffering through
injuries, surgery, family problems, etc. But when I got to the end,
there was a list of skaters in need of "megaprayer". A while back,
the list included Orser, Boitano, Galindo (for pushing the gay
lifestyle), Yagudin, and Stojko. Outside of Galindo, no reasons were
given. I sent in an e-mail reminding them that these skaters have
given more to help humanity than most people ever will in a lifetime,
and that there is no such thing as "the gay lifestyle". A few months
later, I returned to find that the list had been knocked down to only
Orser, Boitano, and Galindo, but still no reasons given for why they
are on this list in the first place. Being the troublemaker that I
am, I had to send another email:

Subject:Additions to Your "Skaters Who Need Megaprayer"
To:singerskates@f...
Here are some additions to your "Skaters Who Need Megaprayer" list:
All skaters who pass judgement on others.
All skaters who ignore the Sabbath (the Sabbath is Saturday, not
Sunday).
All skater who violate dietary law (eating pork, shellfish, animal
fat, etc.).
All skaters who are divorced and remarried (which the Bible defines
as adultery).
All skaters who are idolators (those who pray to statues or pray to
anyone or anything other than God himself).
All skaters who have sex before marriage.
How your list managed to only include 3 people is beyond me. In
fact, if you look at the list I made above, practically everyone
belongs on it. So why have a separate list for those who need so-
called "Megaprayer"? Christianity is not tiered. The Bible says
that ALL have sinned and ALL fall short of the glory of GOD. That
means you belong on the list, too. No one needs prayer more or less
than anyone else. We are all equally doomed unless we stop this
silliness of creating list of people we think need more help than us,
and start looking at areas of our own lives that need fixing.
I notice that the people you have on this list are gay skaters or
those thought to be gay. In case you haven't been taught this in
church, homosexuality is not the only sin. The gay skaters on your
list already know what the Bible says about homosexuality.
Unfortunately, most of the other people who belong on the list don't
even know that they belong there. Your placement of these few
skaters on your "megaprayer" list is an obvious attempt to place
yourself on a pedestal as someone who doesn't need to be prayed for
as much [as] those alleged heathens who need prayer really badly.
Your lack of humility will backfire, for if you are so sure you don't
need the prayers, you won't get them. So go ahead and pray for all
the gay skaters that need your "megaprayer". It may work and they
may be saved. And while they are enjoying eternal life in paradise,
where can we find all the skaters that you didn't think were in need
of the "megaprayer"? You know the answer to that one.

I felt a need to defend the honor of these outstading skaters and
humanitarians. I'm sure they're not off somewhere making lists of
"bad people" who in desperate need of prayer.
Peace Be With You All,
