Hey,
I'm moving to Austin on January 2 and thought it would be fun to get on a co-ed
soccer team. Were there any teams through the church or that anyone knew of
that was in need of an extra girl player? I play fullback, but like to play side
mid sometimes too--overall pretty flexible though! I was hoping to find a team
close to my age to make some new friends too (mid 20s). If you know of anything,
you can shoot me an email at aprilmanint@....
Thanks so much!

Subject: 2 Labs that need a home together...family losing home
Cookie and Coco
Please pass along to all family, friends, coworkers - spread the word and help find these two adorable labs a home.
Young - & female - well cared for. Family losing home. Desperate to find loving home.
Already housebroken, trained, love kids, neutered, up to date on shots....what more could you ask for. But must stay together.
Thanks for your help spreading the word. Read their story below.
The
story... This family has lost their home, and the apartment does not allow dogs. They are looking for a home for the two Labs. See below. ~~~~~~~~ As many of you know, we are moving in just 2 weeks. Unfortunately , I have still not been able to find a good home for Cookie and Coco We're not able to take our beloved doggies with us and I've been desperately trying to find a home for both of them "together". They were raised together and pine without each other. The Lab rescue have already said that they would probably separate them, so this is my last resort.
Recently I tried to take Coco out in my car alone and she TOTALLY refused to even get into the car
without Cookie...!!! ! She absolutely pulled back on her haunches until Cookie was by her side. Both doggies are in great health, have been spayed and have ID chips implanted under the skin.
Cookie turned 3 December 10th and Coco will be 3 April 1st. Cookie is my mellow-yellow, and just loves her tummy rubbed. Coco is adorably funny and lives for her "ball". She also loves the water... Cookie loves lots of attention. Both doggies are loyal and love to walk. They have been raised with my 3 kids running around all over the place, and have survived Sammy's constant hugging and love of "dress-up", so they are fantastic family dogs. This is by far one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, but under the circumstances I have no choice.
Please, please forward these pics to all you know and help me find a
great home for these fabulous doggies. They are just adorable and it's heartbreaking to let them go. In a perfect world, I hope that we could find someone local so that we can still keep in touch and visit them. I pray that someone, somewhere, can help us keep Cookie and Coco together, and love them just as much as we do. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I have clothes for the cause! Please let me know how to get them
to you. They have been in my garage since sometime in the summer, in hopes I
would take some of them to the resale shop while donating the others. I just
looked at them the other day, telling myself to get rid of them, or get them in
the attic as they’re in my way.
This is perfect!
Barbara

In November a team
of men, including myself, from Gateway Church went to Acuna , Mexico and
built two houses for some very needy families. I¢m going to be driving back down there on the 24th
to deliver some presents, to the parents, so they can give their kids something for
Christmas. There are 12 kids ranging from ages 7 to 13, boys and girls,
which are in Casa Garcia Church neighborhood that I would like to include as
well. If you feel move to help I would be greatly appreciate any help.
We are gathering
funds together to buy Spanish Bibles for the prisoners there. They
expressed a strong need for Bibles.
I¢m gathering up any gently used cloths that you
might want to get rid of as well to take down there to them. Any
cloths: Men, Women or Children of all ages and sizes. Please
ask all your friends and family if they have any cloths that they might want
to donate to the cause.

Thursday 12/18/2008 9:45 PM we have a game at Soccer Zone. Last game of this session. The team that we are playing is 5-2 just like us. Cant wait to see y'all out there.
We could probably use you - I don't know if Jeff responded to you or not - but the late games are always a little shaky! Later...

Our next game is at 11:15 pm at SoccerZone north. It's a really late game if anyone wants to join us.
