Alumni,

First I would like to thank everyone who came out for the football watch parties
this year. It was an exciting season and one that will not be forgotten.

Now on to new business. Basketball season is in full effect and we should all be
very excited for what the Cats have in store for us this season. The team just
finished 3rd in the Puerto Rico tournament with a final win over the #18 Dayton
Flyers.

Now, for some exciting news regarding watch parties. We have made a decision to
switch up our viewing location for watch parties starting immediately. Thanks to
a few of our lady watch party cats we have been approached by Murphy's Bleachers
to make their location at Sheffield and Waveland (right across from the Wrigley
Field Bleachers) the official home of Kansas State athletics! With this move
comes some nice changes. First that comes to mind is location because the
Murphys is located on block south of the Addison Red Line stop. Hopefully this
makes it easier for more of you to come out and support our Cats. Secondly we
will have better facilities for the games. Murphys has plenty of big Tv's
located throughout the bar and has been kind enough to give us reserved seating
for all games that are televised with sound. Third, Murphys has also agreed to
fly our flag outside the bar. I just received it today in the mail and will be
giving it to Murphys sometime this week. This is exciting cause every time you
walk by Wrigley now you will see the powercat flying with pride!

I am hoping these changes will helpful enough to make the crowds large for both
football and basketball watch parties! Please email me with any questions you
might have. Once again, wear your purple proudly and Go Cats!

Alumni,

Well, it all comes down to this weekend. After a tough loss last weekend it
comes down to Saturday night to decide 2 different fates, one if we go to a bowl
game during Bill's first year back and two if we make a return to the Big 12
championship. A lot of riding on this game. We will be watching the game at
Toons at 6:45. Remember to wear your purple proud this week!

Alumni,

After an emotional but thrilling loss to OU it is time for the Cats to get ready
and take on the fighting Manginos of Kansas in the annual Sunflower Showdown.
This is a very important game for the Cats as they try and extend their Big 12
North lead. The game is at 11:30 and is on Versus. Due to licensing rights
Direct TV does not carry the Versus channel but Comcast and Dish Network do. So
we will not be going to Toons for the game but if anyone is still interested in
getting together for the game I will be having people over to my house for the
game. If anyone is interested just shoot me an email. Once again wear you purple
very proud this week and make sure to show it off to any Beakers you run into
the next couple days!

Alumni,

Talk about a roller coaster thus far for the cats! We had our lows this season
but have bounced back in the last couple weeks to win 4 of their last 5 games.
Now comes the pivotal point in the season. With 4 games left in regular season
the cats are holding strong a top the big 12 north and might have a chance to
once again represent the North in the championship game. The first obstacle will
be OU on Saturday night at 6. This will probably pan out to be one of our
toughest games left. I know it is Halloween night but we will once again be
watching the game at Toons. I would love to see you all out there in support of
the Cats as they need our support now more than ever. Remember to wear your
purple proud in the upcoming days and the weeks to come!

Brandon,

I am with Beyond the Ivy, we own three rooftops facing Wrigley Field and we’re offering a new way to raise money for the Chicago Suburban Kansas State Alumni Association, while having a good time. Your supporters watch a Cubs game, and you earn $25 per ticket sold.

Basically your organization picks a date from April-May 2 (based on availability) and we offer your supporters a $100 ticket (normally a $145 ticket) and for each ticket sold $25 go back to your organization. That price includes all you can eat and drink Your all inclusive rooftop fundraiser includes; admission to our 1010, 1038 or 1048 W. Waveland locations, appetizers (served through 3rd inning), dinner (served 4th-9th inning), side dishes, dessert and beverages (alcohol served through 7th inning and non-alcoholic beverages served through 9th inning).

We try to make this process as easy as possible. Once you pick the date, we will create a flyer for you to send to your supporters and we will also create a webpage to help promote your outing. An informational flyer is attached.

Beyond the Ivy are Chicagoland’s premier Wrigleyville rooftops, located across from Wrigley Field, endorsed by the Chicago Cubs. Our three rooftops, located at 1010, 1038 and 1048 w. Waveland offer Top Shelf facilities, Top Shelf food and drinks and top shelf fun!

If you’re interested in this opportunity, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me, my contact information is below.

All the best,

If you missed last Saturday's game you sure did miss an exciting one! With 35
seconds left in the game Emmanuel Lamur blocked an extra point to help the Cats
hang on to a 1 point lead to beat Iowa State! Kansas City was rockin after that.
The Cats will continue to ride the wave of victory as they roll into Lubbock
this Saturday to take on Texas Tech at 6 pm. The game will be televised and
Toons will be showing the game. I hope to see everyone there. This is a later
game so let's pack the bar and show our support for our Cats!

Last weekend the Cats came together and put it to Tennessee Tech 49-7 in a
victory that allowed Brandon Banks to return 2 90+ yard kickoff returns setting
a Big 12 record and earning him Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week! The
Cats will try and ride this high as they travel to Kansas City to take on Iowa
State at Arrowhead Stadium. Game time is at 2 and is broadcast on Fox Sports
Central. Toons will be showing the game. I unfortunately will not be there again
for I will be traveling once again to the game, but I would like to hear of

time but is on Fox Sports and will be playing at Toons. I will not be at the
watch party because I am going to be attending the game in Cali but I have been
informed from Danny that he will be playing the game so go and root on our Cats

Catbackers,

Last week was the beginning to a new era and brought both excitement,
anticipation, and at times a little fear. The Cats squeezed on our against UMass
with a final score of 21 to 17. At times we looked good but we still showed that
we were a young team trying to rebound. This week will hopefully bring new light
of hope as the Cats travel down to Louisiana to take on ULL at 6 on Saturday.
Once again the game will not be on TV but you can still catch it on ESPN360 on

Catbackers,

On September 5th, K-State will open their season against UMass. Not only will it
be the first game of the season but the purple faithful will also be welcoming
back the man that started it all, Bill Snyder, back to the sidelines. In light
of his return our new AD has rolled out a new plan in his "K-State Pledge" to
have more affordable ticket prices. In honor of Bill and the 1989 season KSU is
having a "K-State Family Reunion" and the first 1989 tickets will be on sale for
$9 to match the price they were in '89. This is just a heads up for anyone that
will be going back or is thinking about it. It might be fun to have a Chicago
tailgate in Manhattan to kick off the season. Tickets go on sale tomorrow July
14th.

We will be getting together once again starting this fall for football watch
parties. Toons will also be the spot. I will update people weekly with TV
availability. Hope to see everyone this year and let's try and make this years
watch parties bigger than ever.

Go Cats!!

Well the Cats did it. We survived a close game last night against Illinois St to
advance to the 2nd round of the NIT. The second challenge comes from San Diego
St who is the #1 team in our bracket. The game will be in Cali so the Cats will
need everyone support. Once again our game has been passed up for a TV

  Chicago Alumni,

For all of you that don’t know, our Cats started the
Big 12 season with a slump that lead to a 0-4 record. Since that moment the
Cats have had 2 overtime victories, 2 wins over top 25 teams, and 4 blow out
games to leave them in 4 place in the Big 12 and a 6-4 conference record.
Tomorrow will be no different! The Cats will welcome the Birds to the east into
Bramlege coliseum at 2:30 and hopefully extend this streak to 7! Nothing says
“Happy
Valentines Day” like a victory of rival KU in
Manhattan for the 2 nd year in a
row. Once again the wonderful crew at Toons will be gracious enough to let us
rock out the back room of the place and fill it with Purple shirts.  Let’s
show the owner Danny (and his KU alliance) how the Cats rock and I hope to see
everyone there.

  Go Cats, EMAW!!
