This group is open to whole TCA Community to communicate, vote for polls, etc...

History of Tennisball Cricket Association
From 1996 - 1998 a group of local teams in San Francisco Bay Area tried to define rules governing Tennisball Cricket. Soon thereafter the formation of Bay Area Tennisball Cricket Association and its subsequent conversion to Tennisball Cricket Association prompted a revision to these rules.

- 1996 Spangler's then known as Central Park Cricketers organized first ever Tennisball Cricket Tournament in Silicon Valley with 6 teams participating with an effort to define general norms for play.

- 1998-1999 99ers organize 8 team tournaments and spell out the first general rules for Tennisball Cricket derived by combining ICC Code of Laws for Cricket and general practice in Tennisball Cricket circles. For example, the rule of No-LBW and No-Leg Bye is adopted.

- 2000 Bay Area Tennisball Cricket Association (BATS) is formed by 99ers, Panthers and Acers and organizes first official Tennisball Cricket Tournament called BATS-Open 2000 and publishes a revised set of rules.

- 2001 BASLog, Centurions and Spangler's join as organizing members of BATS. BASLog organizes a Knockout tournament in March 2001 to organize relief funds for Gujarat earthquake of 2001. This tournament is adapted by BATS as Winter Knockout. There is addition of new set of rules specific to Knockout tournament.

- 2002 BATS finally evolves into Tennisball Cricket Association a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Team affiliations for the organizers are removed. Official Board of Directors is formed with a plan to draw committees to handle various tasks within TCA. In Late 2002 By-Laws for the association are approved and ratified by Board of Directors.

- 2008 - San Ramon Cricket Association join TCA and transforms into TCA-San Ramon Chapter (TCA-SRCA) serving Bay Area (East Bay) communities.
