Subject: UPDATED ref fee calculations...
jcarlson112@...
Send Email Send Email

Sorry, I left a sentence in there about refs being in the cities & not having to pay mileage fees by mistake.  Please delete this sentence & use this:

I've had lots of questions in terms of game fees & mileage fees.  Here is how you calculate game fees & mileage:

If 1 game/night, fee is $105/ref; if 2 or more games, fee is $95/ref

If ref travels greater than 50 miles roundtrip, you take the total mileage (found in Arbiter) minus the first 50 miles (free miles to you) times $0.40/mile.  for example, if I travel 100 roundtrip, take 100 miles - 50 miles = 50 miles x $0.40/mile = $20 travel fees.

Here are directions in terms of how to see the umpires assigned to your games & also to determine any mileage fees owed.  I'm still trying to get the fees to show up correctedly within Arbiter, so some fees show up properly, but not all.  Here's directions:

 1.  Log into Arbiter & click on 'Schedule' option at top.

2.  Click on the number under 'Games' (this is linkable).

3.  Click on the 'Slots' link on the righthand side on the specific game.

4.  Click on the '2/2' link & you'll see the refs assigned.

5.  Click on the umpire's name & you'll get contact info in case of game changes or re-schedules.

Also if you need to go back & see previous game details for umpire payments beyond the current date, there is a "Show All" option on the left hand side.  Check the box & you'll be able to see all games scheduled.

Hi All –

I hope this note finds you well and enjoying your lax season.  Attached are some important forms for Academic All-American recognition, Jenn Eames Award, and also, DI and DII All-American submissions. Please note the due dates for each nomination and let me know if you have any questions!

Academic All-American nominations must have a 3.7 GPA and the form and an unofficial transcript can be emailed directly to Jessica Hardy (her email is listed on the form) no later than Wednesday night, April 13

Hey ladies-

Here are directions to our fields.

From highway 36. Take the snelling exit South. Go past the fairgrounds and you will reach a bridge where you can see our Hamline University sign. Take the first left after the bridge on Taylor. If you hit Hewitt Ave you have gone one too far. Parking is all along Taylor and both fields are on the left side of the street. The first is field 1, Klas Field and the second is field 2, Pattersona Field.

From highway 94- take the Snelling Ave North exit. You will see Hamline University on your right and it is one street past Hewitt Ave called Taylor. If you go over the bridge toward the fairgrounds you have gone too far. Take a right on Taylor and both fields are on you left, same as above.

Does that work?

ALL-
Due to the weather overnight we only have one field available for
use during playoffs. Due to this we will be keeping the bracket as
is, however it will be an elimination bracket. Once you lose a game
you are out. The game times will be as follows:

Game 1: 10 AM- UW-RF vs. Iowa
Game 2: 12:30 PM- UMN vs. St. Olaf
Game 3: 3:00 PM- Duluth vs. Gustavus
Game 4: 5:30 PM- St. Bens vs. Bethel

Tomorrow's game
Game 5: 9:00 AM Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 3
Game 6: 11:30 AM Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 4
Game 7: 3:00 PM Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6

If you have any questions please let me know. Unfortunate situation
but I think this is the best option as it gives everyone a fair
chance! Good luck to all the teams playing!!!!!

All-
As we passed a new recognition system last fall here is how the
awards system will work this year.

1. Each team needs to email me a Recognition Representative for their
team, this can be a player or coach.
2. The representative from each team will then need to email me their
nominations. Teams get the number of nominations based off of their
playoff status...
1 player nomination if non-playoff team
RIVERS: 1 player if non-playoff team
3 player nominations if playoff team
RIVERS: 2 players if play-off team
5 player nominations if team made the championship game
RIVERS: 3 players if team makes championship game
In addition to these nominations each team can nominate a player
from another team.
3. Nominations must include the team, the player, their statistics and
other important information to inform voters.
4. Recognition reps will receive a ballot with player stats and will
rank players. Ballots must be returned by designated date.
5. Students leaders of a team can nominate their coach for
Coach-of-the-Year recognition, reps will have one vote for this award.
Will be included on the ballot.

THUS... what I need from each team is to choose a representative to
email me with your player nominations and necessary information. For
the nominations to be included in the ballot I must receive them by
next Wednesday, May 18th 5 PM. I will then create a ballot and will
email it out to the reps who will have a few days to vote.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

nominations each team has.

Hey All here is information you'll need to know before November 5th!

MEETING:
Time: 10 AM- 2 PM (approximately)
Location: Drew Science Classroom Building at Hamline Campus, St. Paul
please see here for directions and a map of campus:
http://www.hamline.edu/about/locations.html

In order to save time I would like the meeting to go straight through.
For the past few years we've gotten through the meeting pretty
quickly and I feel that this year will bring about the same situation.
Please plan on bringing lunch or snacks. We will take a 10 minute
break in the middle for people to go use the restroom/stretch.

WCLA forms:
These forms are attached and must be filled out by all participating
NCWLL teams. Please start working on these NOW! The membership form
is due on Dec. 1st, but turning it in early in encouraged!

Rivers Teams:
Please let me know if you are wanting to move up to either the
Lakes/Plains divisions.

Provisional Teams:
Please let me know ahead of time if you are wanting to move up to
full member status. This will provide you with voting status, as well
as increase your league dues to approximately $400 and a requirement
of playing 8 WCLA games.

League Dues:
This will be determined at the meeting once we know how many teams
will be full members. Please plan on it remaining close to $400.

New Teams:
Please plan on attending if you want to join out league. If you
will be there please let me know ahead of time. Also you will need to
prepare a 5 minute speech detailing how you meet our eligibility
criteria, these can be found in our bylaws on our website.

Officer Elections:
These will also take place at the Fall meeting. If you are planning
on running, even if you currently are holding the position, please let
me know prior to November 5th.

Spring Scheduling:
Please have possible dates you can host games available at the
meeting as this is the BEST time to schedule games in the spring. All
teams will be present and it is to your ADVANTAGE to schedule all of
your games at this meeting.

Please forward this on to all your alumni or anyone you think would be interested.

I'm just trying to round up a bunch of post-collegiate lacrosse players to start a team for the spring. I'm thinking we might be able to play some provisional and developing teams college teams if there are slots at tournaments.

I was in Hawaii for a semester and played with about 30 girls that got together on Sundays year round and brought a couple nets and played each other. I think we could do something similiar in the spring, summer, and fall. Once we get enough girls, we could even sign up for tournaments across the country. I know in the fall there is one in Las Vegas and one in Hawaii. Santa Barbara has spots for post collegiate teams in the spring.

These are just some ideas, but I'm just looking for organize opportunites to play some more lacrosse after college. Let me know your thoughts and invite anyone you think would be interested.

Hello league!

Attached are the forms you will need for the league dues this year. We were able to cut down the cost for full member teams because of how many we have now.

I am assuming the Spring meeting will be the first weekend in February, so that is when payments is due. As always, if you can get it to me sooner that's lovely.

Hey Ladies,

Everyone who is on the updated contacts list should have gotten an email stating
that we will be transitioning to using the "Google Groups" rather than
continuing using this yahoo group. We will be using google in hopes to weed out
all the people who are still apart of this group who are not affilitated with
the NCWLL anymore.

However if you did not recieve an invite, know of someone who didnt get invited
that should of to the new group, or are a past player who wants to stay
up-to-date with the NCWLL, just search for NORTH CENTRAL WOMEN'S LACROSSE LEAGUE
(NCWLL)in google groups or e-mail me and I can get you added.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT BE USING THIS YAHOO GROUP ANYMORE! SO THE SOONER
YOU GET ADDED THE BETTER!!!

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Hey Laxers,

Here is another reminder email.

Please complete the Eligibility Form and mail it to by Feb. 1st.
Karen Heggernes
13601 Carmody Dr.
Eden Prairie, MN 55344

Or hand it in at the League meeting Feb. 4th. Remember you MUST have
at least one representative present at every meeting. It is a good
idea to invite the younger leaders of your team to ensure a smooth
transition for next year.

I will not accept an eligibility form that has not been filled out
correctly. ONLY BLACK INK should touch that page. If you messed up
already, re-write over it in black pen.

I have only received an Eligibility Form from St. Ben's.

Reminder of the Spring League Meeting
When: Feburary 4th, 2012
Time: 11:00AM- 3:00PM (approx)
Location: Drew Science Classroom Building at Hamline Campus, St. Paul
please see here for directions and a map of campus:

The league website
(http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams/default.asp?u=NCWLL&t=c&s=lacrosse&p=home)
is a great resource to answer any questions.

Also, note that your game schedules are due and Playoffs are the
weekend of April 21st-22nd. You must have your games completed one
week prior to playoffs.

Hello Teams,

This is just a friendly reminder email regarding the meeting this
Saturday AM. Each team MUST have a representative present at this
meeting as the Refs will be doing the Rules Interpretation which every
team must attend. Please see below for what is due on Saturday:

-League Dues
-WCLA Eligibility Form, signed and stamped by your school registrar.
-Final Game Schedule

Please also remember when you are creating your schedules that games
this season are 30 minutes stopped clock. For this reason I would
plan on each game taking approximately 2 hours.

EVERY team should be actively be working to complete your schedules
this week. That means quickly responding to emails and answering your
phones if other teams are calling you. That being said please do not
hesitate to call individuals if they are not responding to emails. If
you are having difficulties with a specific team please let me know
ASAP.

Here is the link to input game scores on laxpower. This needs to be
done within 24 hours of games being played.
         http://www.laxpower.com/update12/report_wcla_scores.php

Remember to bring your team statistician as we will be doing a how-to
input stats on the hometeamsonline website.

All of this information will be reiterated on Saturday. Please let me
know if you have any questions or if you have any items to be added to
the agenda. Thanks!!!
