Your starting time on the #1 Tee has been reserved at the "INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY CLUB"!

Have an awesome time sharing your individual club and shot selections, experiences and stories along with personal tips and some of your favorite courses worldwide.

The word "golf" is recorded as long ago as 1457 in the statutes of the Scottish Parliament, when the sport was banned because it interfered with archery practice. The word was also spelled "gowf" reflecting the way the Scots pronounced it. Some say the word originally derived from an old Dutch word "kolf or kolven" meaning club or clubs.

In the early days of golf, the various courses had no standard number of holes. On May 5, 1858 in Scotland, new rules were issued by the famed Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews for its members. Among these rules, was the stipulation that one round of the links or 18 holes would constitute a match. At that time, the course at St. Andrews had 18 holes and that became the standard for golf courses around the world.

The membership roll of the "INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY CLUB" spans the ability-range from the weekend Duffer to the serious Pro handicap individual. Please feel free to list available tournaments within your area in the Links section or post a course that you are traveling to play. You just never know who might also have an interest from the I.C.C. membership to participate in the tourney or have some personal information on that course.
