To all Men and Lady Bulldogs,

Was great to celebrate the on-field accomplishments at PRAP night, and as I outlined in my opening address, the off-field contribution and running of the club through the board this year has equally been fantastic. Our President Billy did a fantastic job leading the board and club during the year and he was very well supported by all board members.

In accordance with the club's by-laws, all Board Positions are open and available to anyone who would like to step up and contribute to the club. Being part of the board is a fantastic opportunity and I encourage everyone to think about what contributions they could make to the club. Please note that it does require commitment and your personal time. If you would like to contribute however would like more information regarding how much effort is involved, I suggest you contact one of the current or previous board members.

It was my first year on the board this year, and its like anything- the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Below are the positions which are available, in brackets are the current board members in each of the positions- however all positions are up for re-election:

President (Billy)
Vice President (Will)
Secretary (Brent)
Treasurer (Dan)
Development Director (Tom)
Marketing Director (Dom)
Social Director (Mel)

There is also a possibility to become a "Portfolio Member" which is not a formal board position, however allows people to contribute to the club and participate in board meetings and support the running of the club. These positions are not yet formal- however thoughts such as "Event Managers", "Sponsorship Managers", "Website Managers" have been spoken about. Please let me know if anyone has interest in these as the new board will determine if they would like to move forward with this.

The other key open position is the Coaching Position. This is formally an open role and is critical to ensure our continued on-field success.

Can anyone who is interested in any of the roles outlined in the email please email me by COB 26-Nov-2009. I have sent this email to the Men and Lady Bulldogs mailing list, anyone who you know of who is not on this list please let them know.

I'd like to thank the board for their significant contributions to the club this year- it's been fantastic, and I look forward to another successful year for the club.

For those of you interested in catching up with Hubes, he's in town for a few days. He was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Japanese Major League team the Hiroshema Carp, last week so we may not see him in Denver very often any more.

He and I will be having some festive happy hour beverages at the Tilted Kilt this Wed 11/25 from 5pm onwards. If you've never been to a Tilted Kilt, its like Hooters meets your favourite Irish Bar.....well worth a look for sure. It's in the old ESPN Zone space at 16th & Lawrence.

Thanks for all your messages, it has been literally overwhelming (but that is a good thing.) I will hopefully talk to you all personally over the next couple of days.
Amie is doing much better now. She had her first sleep last night and may be able to eat today.
The baby is doing great. He came out with a full head of hair and perfect size and weight. Amie's comments about the size of my head being hereditary were apparently untrue. His name is Hayden William Kennedy, (Willi, feel free to think that second name is because of you.) He was 7lbs 14oz, 19" long.

Amie will be in the hospital for at least a few more days, but she can start seeing visitors now. She is at Sky Ridge Hospital (I-25 and Lincoln) and may change rooms so it would be best if you text me before you come. My number is 303-921-9810. Let me know what time you want to come and we can coordinate something.

It's been a really long time since I've seen all of you...but the good news is that Tuesday night is coming quickly!! Even though I didn't get to go to Nats with the team, I'd still like to hang out, and maybe help you brainstorm some ideas for your skits. PRAP night is one of the coolest traditions of The Denver Bulldogs...and my prediction is that with the incredible talent on our team, we'll have some pretty damn funny skits! See you all soon.

* Development Director - The Development Director is responsible for establishing programs to increase player performance on the football field. This includes player recruitment, establishing fitness and football skills drills and providing overall direction to raise the playing competency of the football club.

* Marketing Director - The Marketing Director shall maintain and service existing sponsors and seek new opportunities for club sponsorship. They will seek positive media and promotional opportunities which will benefit the club, and develop/execute on strategies to positively market the club to support growth initiatives.

We also have some open Portfolio positions. These people will not be Board members, but will still contribute immensely to the smooth running of the club. They typically require less commitment and time.

Positions available are;
- Sponsorship Coordinator (assist the Marketing Director with sponsorship goals)
- Web/media Coordinator (assist with updating and maintaining the website as well as other social media outlets such as Facebook.
- Graphic Design Coordinator (design the graphics for marketing materials, jumpers, banners, posters, etc.)

Please let me know if you would like to join the Board or become a Portfolio member no later than November 12th.
